And Breathe, 2019

An award winning dance film responding to the newly introduced clean air zone in Birmingham 2019. Working with academic researchers at CAWR Coventry University, it examines the effects of C02 on the environment, introducing questions around climate change such as rising levels of pollution, deforestation and degradation of soil.

Told using South Asian Dance, the film explores the effect of carbon emissions and their apocalyptic impact on humanity and the earth. The film challenges us to go back to basics: to pass on replacement practices and use intergenerational skills - to put back what we take out and purify the air for the next generation.
