The Randhawa story

Currently in production – A short documentary following the Randhawa family - The Waldorf cinema had a second life under the stewardship of Avtar Singh Randhawa and his family in the 1970s. Around this time Balsall Heath and Sparkbrook were a destination for South Asian film audiences from across the Midlands.

The Waldorf cinema, now a Hindu temple is turned back into a cinema once again to share a dynamic story of entrepreneurship, Indian celebrities and the heist of Bollywood movie prints.
